Jack Gruener was a Holocaust survivor who was born on June 2, 1930, in Poland. He was the only member of his immediate family to survive the Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II. After being liberated from the camp in 1945, Gruener immigrated to the United States where he built a new life for himself.
Gruener became a successful businessman and philanthropist, using his experiences during the Holocaust to speak out against discrimination and promote tolerance. He was a frequent speaker at schools and community events, sharing his story of survival and resilience.
In addition to his work as a public speaker, Gruener also served on the board of directors for several Holocaust education organizations and was actively involved in efforts to combat anti-Semitism and promote human rights.
Jack Gruener passed away on December 30, 2019, but his legacy lives on through his advocacy work and the impact he had on those who heard his story.
